Many families go to Disney for a fun family vacation; it's the ultimate place to visit for children.  If you want to ensure that you and your family have an exceptionally great time at Disney, read the top 10 tips below:

1) It's recommended to order the free Disney DVD; the DVD helps with your planning; it walks you through on a complete tour of its resorts.

2) It's very important to find the best Disneyland as well as Disneyworld hotel packages. If you want to save on both lodging and park tickets, book your trip only during the off season when there's less traffic--from October to April.

3) To save money start go online and search for hotels that are close to the resort. You might even get a complimentary shuttle service that will drive you to the resort.

4) Since Disney does not permit you to bring food, you can still save money  by having breakfast prior to entering; then you can have dinner after you leave.

5) Sometimes it can get quite hot at Disney; so bring bottled water; it's much cheaper than purchasing it inside the park.

6) Check your hotel or travel agent, for they sometimes provide discounts to government workers, teachers, nurses, AAA, and AARP.

7) Buy your tickets before arriving to the park, and you won't have to stand in line.

8) Always carefully read your tickets and passes; make certain you understand exactly what you are paying for.

9) Be aware of some rides having height requirements for children.

10) If you have a child under three years of age, you may want to bring your stroller; or, you can rent one.

11) If you have a child who is a little small for any ride, use the Disney "Baby Swap." Just inform the ride attendant.

12) Be prepared for the worse weather condition: bring an umbrella, ponchos, and cool weather clothes
