If you are planning on a vacation with your pet, here is a list of the top 10 travel tips you should know before leaving your home:
1) If you have intentions of visiting some national park with your pet, always check with that National Park in advance for its rules in regard to pets.
2) Prior to taking your pet along with you to some hot vacation getaway, make sure your pet is in the appropriate physical condition for making such a trip in the first place. How? Take your pet to the vet and learn whether or not your pet is in great health.
3) Make sure your pet has had all the required vaccinations; also request a health document to take with you on your vacation.

7) Ask yourself this basic question: "Is your pet an experienced traveler?" If the answer is no, you should try getting your pet used to traveling; this will help make vacations friendly. You can start by taking your pet on a short car drive and making it a pleasant experience. Then you can slowly increase the amount of time and distance that you drive with your pet.
